Depends a bit on what you want, goldfish are very difficult. Koi are very good. You can peacocks or Shebumkins? I do not know if it's his real name. They have a domed forehead. There are others. I have not seen the fish in a moment.

But would a catfish or two. They help clean the pond. Remember, not across the pond. The fish continue to grow if they are old. The more fish and bigger fish, more garbage in the water and ammonia increased.

Even your new fish pond to acclimatise. and let the water stand dissapate new chemicals prior to the fish.

The only people, people who know to use in fish ponds is not gold or Koi and I assume that, because the fish they cold water. The Koi are more expensive than goldfish. I have goldfish that I use for my pond at Wal-Mart, were lower than they like a piece of 28 cents, and they are so cheap that if you happen to lose some of its no big deal and multiply very quickly mine. You might well, but it usually depends on the size of a house to have. The goldfish I've had very good in winter when the pond is deep enough down only when it freezes, and when you are with water plants, which can be cast into the depths of the lagoon and is not doing too well of me

The goldfish are both durable and cheap. The birds eat fish, will miss the neighborhood cats. How great it is depends on the size of the pond in the great blue heron is eating us here in Texas. Is the local pet / fish stored for you to help replenish supplies. A few small catfish are to maintain the cleanliness of the pond. Good luck!
