Is divorce obtained in a U.S. court valid in India for an Indian citizen residing in U.S.? - is this a valid masterlock combination

I got married in India and moved to the United States but it did not work out between me and my husband and we divorced in the U.S. This was based on mutual agreement. My divorce is valid in India, or should I just go a single case in India? Can I get married again? (I also appreciate a response from Mr Vijay_M)
